LA BOHEME AT THE TEATRO ALLA SCALA TO REMEMBER FRANCO ZEFFIRELLI

To commemorate the centenary of the birth of Franco Zeffirelli the La Scala Theatre proposes: La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini, the direction and scenes are by the Maestro, but regenerated by Marco Gandini. The costumes are the original ones by Piero Tosi taken from Anna Biagiotti, led by the Korean Eun Sun Kim. The premiere of Boheme was in Turin in 1896 and since 1897 it has been the most frequently performed opera at La Scala and one of the most successful.

It is a simple love story. In Paris, in the Latin Quarter, Christmas Eve is celebrated. A group of penniless friends, the painter Marcello, the musician Schaunard and the philosopher Colline, live in an attic where the love story between Mimi is born,

sick with consumption, and the poet Rodolfo, a stormy and poignant story, supported by poignant music that speaks directly to the heart. A splendid production that finds its climax in the performance of Marina Rebeka, a Mimì with impeccable colouring. The other performers are: Freddie De Tommaso in Rodolfo, Luca Micheletti as Marcello, Musetta is Irina Lungu, Schaunard Alessio Arduini, Hills is Jongmin Park. The Orchestra,

The Orchestra, the Chorus of the Teatro alla Scala and the Chorus of White Voices are perfect. A great show full of emotion. I was six years old when my parents took me to La Scala for the first time to see Bohème and it was love at first sight. Performances will continue until 26 March and on https://LaScalatv.it you can enjoy this masterpiece.
