The Swan Lake, the ballet par excellence, is staged at the Teatro alla Scala. Rudolf Nureyev initials the choreography which takes up the original and immortal writing of Petipa and Ivanov, masterfully revived by Manuel Legris.
The poignant music is of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with Koen Kessels which directs theOrchestra of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala; the scenes, which capture the landscapes nuances of Monet, are of Ezio Frigerio the costumes of Franca Squarciapino; the stage direction of Franco Malgrande the production and planning of Maria De Rosa e Nadia Ferrigno.
This is the story of a love upon which hangs a spell that can only be thwarted by the triumph of true love. The pitfalls of the black swan, the charm of the swan-maidens and the double role of Odette-Odile, white swan and black swan who embody the eternal struggle between Good and Evil, are the highlights of this story where Prince Siegfrid meets Odette and falls in love with her. During the ball at the palace, where Sigfrid is to choose his betrothed, the magician Rothbart introduces his daughter Odile to the prince who, convinced that he is in the presence of his beloved, asks her to marry him. At that point the magician reveals the true identity of the maiden and Odette cannot be saved. The prince is desperate for his mistake and asks to be forgiven, Odette mourns her lost love, while Rothbart takes her into his enchanted world.
In the role of Odette/Odile Nicoletta Manni perfect performs the dual role with charisma and finesse, Siegfried Timofej Andrijashenko embodies the character with intense strength the prince in love Rothbart an intrepid and mighty Marco Agostino intense and formidable interpretation that earned him ovations even from the orchestra. Worthy of note is the three-part pas de Mattia Semperboni Caterina Bianchi and Gaia Andreanò.
The dance troupe moves in a modern and captivating performance. After initial misgivings constant and thunderous applause.In the roles of Odette/Odile and Siegfried, Nicoletta Manni and Timofej Andrijashenko will alternate until 27 September, Martina Arduino and Claudio Coviello, Alice Mariani and Mattia Semperboni Maria Celeste Losa with Navrin Turnbull, and the 27 September shoot will be broadcast on LaScalaTv.
A perfect, intense, exciting show full of pathos and poetry which always amazes to see and see again in the different nuances of the various performers.
